MM2H Application

Applicants are required to comply with the following financial criteria upon successful submission of their MM2H application.

Expat MM2H's Checklist for New MM2H Application

3. A copy of Resume/CV by the main applicant which include the following information : Academic Qualification , Working Experiences , Skills or Expertise acquired  v  v

4. A Covering letter written and signed by the applicant giving details as below :
Personal contact details (address, telephone  no., email address)

Personal background and indicate your intention to join MM2H program (ex: to retire, for children's education, to travel, to buy property & etc)

With whom you wish to come (single or with family)

Explain how you will support your stay in Malaysia indicating your financial capabilities

5. Four (5) passport-sized coloured photos per person; photos must be less than 6 months old.  v  v  v  v
6. Passport - Certified colour copy of Photo & Particulars Page - Include colour copies of EVERY page from front to back cover including unstamped/blank pages. Applicant with passport(s) less than one-year old MUST submit certified copy of photo & particulars page & copies of all pages previous passport. Current passports must be at least 7-month valid at the time of submission to the Ministry. NOTE: Please make copies on A4-sized papers. 7. Original Letter of Good Conduct from Police Department (Country of Origin or Residence).  v  v  v

8. Self declaration on your/dependents health conditions

 9. Certified copy of Marriage Certificate (for all applicants who are married whether they apply the MM2H with spouses or not).  v v  v
 10. Certified copies of Birth Certificates or Legal Documents for children/ adopted children / step children).
 11. Letter of Confirmation from Medical Specialist /General Practitioner (if accompanied by disabled children above 21-yr old).  v  v  v  v
 12. Statutory Declaration by applicant to bear all expenses and financial requirements during the stay in Malaysia for dependents.  v  v
 13. Original or Certified colour copies of latest 3 months income statements: salary slip, pension, tenancy agreement with rental receipts & deposits into bank account, interests earned or any financial documents showing equivalent to more than MYR10K/month to indicate the financial capability to support stay in Malaysia;  v  v
14. Original or Certified colour copies of latest 3 months bank statements showing each month balance of cash equivalent to greater than MYR500K (for age below 50) or MYR350k (for age 50 & above) ; (Only Main Applicant’s individual accounts OR joint-accounts with legal spouse are acceptable.)  v  v
15. Bank Authorization Letter from applicant to MM2H Centre to verify the financial documents with the relevant institutions.  v  v
16. If you are currently employed, include a Letter of Employment stating your position, salary and duration of employment  v  v
17. Certified copies of documents showing non-cash assets (if applicable).  v  v
18. Certified copies of last 3 years’ income tax return records (if applicable).  v  v
19. Certified copies of company registration and relevant documents showing proof of ownership (if applicable).  v  v

Before submitting the MM2H application, applicants must have purchased and own property which were bought at MYR1 million and above in Malaysia. They may then apply to comply with the basic fixed deposit requirement of MYR 150,000 (for below 50) or MYR100,000 (for 50 & above) on condition that the property has been fully paid and ownership documents such as grant and land title have already been issued. The MYR 1 million and above must not include legal fees, transfer fees, commissions and any other related payments.


All applicants still required to meet the financial requirements as per Item 4(A) or 4(B) mentioned above.

Documents required to be submitted for the Option C above:
      (a) Certified copy of Sale and Purchase Agreement  v  v

  • All required documents must be in the English Language; if not, please have the documents translated into English by authorized translators accordingly; (Kindly attach with certified copies of original document) or OPTIONAL charge for translate the documents.
  • All required documents must be in the English Language; if not, please engage Authorized Translators to translate documents into English. All certified translations must be duly certified by your Ministry of Foreign Affairs and further certified by our Malaysian Embassy. (Must include CTC’s of original documents)
  • All copied documents must be duly CERTIFIED TRUE COPIES of original documents by Embassy/ High Commission/Solicitor/Justice of Peace/Notary Public/ Government Official.
  • The Authorities do not accept any documents that are being blanked out with liquid paper or any other methods; certified documents should not be altered or changed in any way in comparison to the original documents.  
  • Applicants must scan and email us all required documents whichever relevant for our final review prior to delivery the documents to us. We are not responsible for documents delivered to us which are incomplete and without our confirmation that they are sufficient for the MM2H application.  
  • Applicants who deliver incomplete documents to us and need us to return them should bear all cost of postage and service for return delivery.
  • When making copies, please do not reduce the sizes from the original documents.
  • Under no circumstances, will any documents, already submitted to the relevant authorities, be returned.
  • The financial requirements stated in our checklist are the minimum figures, we recommend applicants to submit higher amount if possible.
